i have been wanting to do a SS1000 for awhile now but do to various factors was never able to get around to it, until this year that is. i have what i believe is a simple plan, ride from home to Roanoke VA, turn around and ride home. total miles as per Google maps is 1038. i think this will take approx 18hrs, and i plan on doing it sometime in June.

If you can wait till the end of the summer and I pass my qualifying exam this semester I'll do this with you. China Girl has already approved.

Manhattan to Bar Harbor using the Taconic is 1,092 miles round trip (and cooler in August! ). Just saying.
