hey nice trip you did !

Your son is verry lucky !

You had a lot of chance to find a lot of english speaking people in France.

Maybe it's because south of france is a verry touristic place, but in other part of France I guarantee you that you will never be so lucky.

All cases nice trip you did man ^^ Thank you for sharing it with us.

Unfortunately that's one of the things I always forget - the hotelrooms. I have these 2 though from the hotel in Nice. What looked to be a closet, turned out to be the toilet

The cheapest room was 50 euroes, the most expensive 75 euroes, incl. breakfast. On an average I would say 60 euroes pr. night. But remember, I went for the cheap and humble hotels. As long as they were clean and had toilet/showers I was happy, as we were only staying for the night. Most of them had tv and wi-fi.
Thanks for your comments.

Bon jour Thor_du.
Ahh yes, you touched a point there I did think about, southern France and speaking english. Mind you though, I never really have had any problems with communicating when travelling in France, and I been in most parts of France, except the westcoast. When english was not an option, the sign-language always worked perfect. And people has always been friendly and open minded to get the communication going.
Only place where I really met problems were in Paris. They were eeah, yes - different. Too different for me.

Thumb Great RR panzerrocket.

Southeast France is one of my favorit playgrounds in Europe - the scenery, the roads, the people and not least the food is something special.
I find that the best time to visit is early spring or late fall - the weather is not to warm, there is less traffic, it's easier to find a place to sleep and the price level is more reasonable than in the high season.

It's nice to see that you share your passion for motorcycles and traveling with your son - a thing that many choose not to do (often dictated by the mother maybe..?)

Hi Don T, thanks mate.
Yes Southeast France is very nice, the Southwest at the foot of the Pyrenees ain't bad either.
You're spot on with travelling south in spring or fall, specially due to the weather. Riding in 35 degr. cel. ain't funny...
In the summer I stick to Northern Europe and Scandinavia.
I have a very understanding ex (Nikolai's mother...) who sees the positive potential in letting our son ride with me.
We're having a great time together, building bonds for life, and he sees and learns about the world 1.st hand.
