Will /7 Krauser bags fit a SWB /5?

Hi. I have been looking at these racks and bags off a R75/7 and I was wondering if they will fit my 71 R60/5 SWB. Thanks!

The bags will fit ... but those mounts will not. The bag sizes never changed ....

The arm on the mounts that reaches for the tab that has the passenger foot peg (The tabs in the lower right hand corner of your picture) ... is shorter for a SWB /5. those mounts will not fit.

I don't know if you can get Krauser type mounts for a SWB but I do know you can get Wixom bag mounts for a SWB.

The Krauser mounts can be had, but not cheaply...

So after looking on E-Bay at $400-$500 crappy BMW bags with no racks that need restoration I think it would be worth my while to get these bags then buy the SWB mounts as well.

My next question is that these are the better latching models than the early ones with the BMW logo and the cleaner looking latches on the top right?

If you don't already have any of the individual pieces then I would get the mounts from Carl here on the forum and get myself the Givi bags of my choice and roll on...

those look like the starlet bags, a bit different and a little smaller than the standard bmw issue krausers. Still nice bags, and fit the same mounts. do they have the seatbelt type latch on them?
