More on KTM Orange Paint
The shop talked to KTM NA today about paint. The KTM orange powdercoat is listed under the German standard 'RAL' and the color code is 2009, called Traffic Orange.
I did a search on RAL 2009 and one British site had the CMYK values that may or may not be correct. RAL 2009 - Traffic Orange CMYK 5 70 100 0 Go paint something.

Which KTM orange?
Is this for the newer 990-orange Adventure bikes?
The earlier 950 style orange, as on the 2005 -S model, is a flatter, non-metallic color. The earlier models have the inherent advantage of the bubbling effect, available only on limited bikes. Like mine.

This is the REAL KTM ORANGE. Powder coated frames, crash bars, main frame on the Dungey Replica, and close to the orange plastic on the dirt bikes. It's not the orange paint with green metal flake, not the flat orange, etc.
