I have the RC High Bend bars on my Suzuki RMZ450 motocross bike and love them. I have more room in the cockpit and the bars are wider. The stock 990 bars feel really narrow for me.

For those that put higher bars on their bikes, did the cables have enough slack?

I think I am up 1.5 inches and cables still fit well. I think guys that went 2 or more inches were having cable length problems.

Here is a pic of my 12deg flexx bars on top of the stock ones. Not quite aligned but you get an idea that it is a big difference.

Cable Length

If your cables run a bit tight, just flip the throttle twist grip through 180 deg so the cables exit underneath the bars.

Don't forget to block off the drain hole that will now be on the top...I just used grease and have had no issues in 20K miles.
