You and I have talked about this day for many years now and now that it is here I am saddened and feeling empty like a part of me has been taken away. I hope your remaining days are filled with love. You are a true friend and I love you and will miss you.

Colleen, Chris, thank you so very much for mediating here. It means an awful lot to an awful lot of us, and I'm sure it means a lot to him as well. I think the longest I've gone today without checking this thread is about 90 minutes.

Robert helped me with my wiring issues a couple of months ago. It's nice (and can be rare) to find a kind voice when you're new and uncertain. Thanks for the help!

Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming - WOW

- What a Ride!

Dam you, Robert......

My good friend Mike just lost his mom to lung cancer, I lost my mom to colon cancer 10 years ago...ohshit....11 years ago. I still feel weird anytime I hear of another person I know with the fucking pile of shit of a disease. I hope your son and daughter are hanging out with you, and laughing about stupid stuff you or they did long ago. I remember my mom had just come home from surgery, they had removed the right lobe of her colon. The incision was supposed to heal from the inside out, so it was a large, open, wound. I have a weak stomach, but getting better. She thought it would be funny to stand up, buck naked and walk by me. I puked a little bit,and passed out for a bit. I was on the floor with my mom laughing standing over me. She was a sweet, but funny lady. I remember that shit like it was yesterday. I was with her when she took her last breath. I forget that sometimes, but I'll never forget that day she scared the crap out of me.

Be well, Robert. I hope your son comes and plays in Atlanta.

If the people that know you, even if only through the internet, hate the idea that they won't get to see you again I think you can count your life a success. We'll miss ya, brother.

Robert, if you're still listening...

Just last night I was talking to my wife about life, death, mortality, reality....

We're getting up there in years, and we have way fewer years ahead of us than we do behind us.

It's my firm belief that whatever god you believe in, or even whether you do or don't believe in a "god", there's more to this world than what we see, hear, feel.
I fear death, but only because I fear pain and suffering. There's something waiting for us all on the other side.
Heaven? Hell? I don't believe in those concepts, but I know it's something good for most of us.

Be strong.

(still praying for a miracle)

Hope for all good things Robert.

Helped me with a sweet coil and wires, guidance and concern with the bike. A phone call to make me confident to get after it. When the works did add life to the bike but didn't cure the troubles followed up with a contact to make sure all was good.

You are a class act Robert. Thanks for the help and for the call. Sorry that I did not make it out to the desert to say hello in person and have a beer with you.
