I think there's a little tooth that sits in the track stopping you from putting the windscreen up all the way. I've heard of guys snipping or grinding them off.

[QUOTE=sea2summit;21824580]Took an angle grinder to those stupid wind break travel limiters. Ahhh soo much quieter.

Photo's added:
Side view seeing it all the way at the top position, probably gave me an extre 3/4-1" of adjustment.

Excellent idea. I'll be making this mod soon. Thanks for posting this one.

Farkelization has begun...

Ordered a set of BMW aluminum side cases from Herwaldt Motorsports in Fresno, CA. Will edit this post with images once cases have been received & installed. Cheers!

Wunderlich Ergo Vario. Great design, sh!t hardware. Why they used zinc-coated hardware instead of stainless steel is beyond me. Other than that I'm completely happy with it. It's fully adjustable and eliminates all buffeting.

GS Emotion Toolbox

I picked up this slick toolbox yesterday from GS Emotion...

 photo Toolbox_small_zps752131f1.jpg

Plenty of room for all tools & plug kit. My compressor would fit inside, too, if it could fit through the "door." I guess 5 or 6 CO2 cartridges will have to replace it unless I can find an even smaller compressor. Either way, the fit is awesome and installation took about 10 minutes.

My local dealer carries quite the selection of aftermarket parts, but you can also get it here:

Wunderlich Wind deflector

Installed wind deflector. First test ride noticable difference below 70. I will now fine tune it to find sweet spot.

This weekend I stole my brother, father, and two brother in laws for a day trip down to Maryland to pick up crabs for the family (well that was the excuse for the ride, otherwise it's hard to get them out).

Then I did the 12,000 mile on my dad's R1200c, the oil on my brothers wee-storm, and half the 6,000 mile service on my '12 GSA. The valve check I do tonight.

Friday my dad, brother, and I leave for a 2,700 mile trip down to Memphis.

Cool trip, but how is that related to the thread titled what did you do to your GS or GS Adventure today?
