In the past four days, I've put almost 900 miles on my GSA. Today was 150 with two of my friends on their 800GS's:

Since I've been home I've drained the oil, transmission and final drive. Over the next two weeks I'll be pulling the swingarm to replace all the bearings and check the drive shaft, removing the ABS and adding a longer front brake line, re-doing all the electrics and tidying things up under the tank and a few other things to get it ready for my Mexico trip in October.

That would definitely be a better choice for the phone.
Being Sprint and running Android it would swap in perfectly.

Looks like it supports Sprint Data Pack Plan Options,
so that means it will function as a hot spot once rooted.

Only drawback is 3g not 4g, and 5MP camera instead of 12,
but that trade off is a "no brainer" seeing how durable it is.

Pretty amazing.
Wish I would have seen that before I went with the S4 :/

Thanks for linking that.

Not too much for a Sunday.

Install the waterproof USB socket to the fairing - the beak (instead of the handle bar as previously) - got the idea from JVB. Thanks Jim.

Installed two Aux LED driving light, beside existing Hella foglights. There are three (03) light mods of the LED lights (low-beam, hi-beam and flashing):

It's high-beam:

Where did you get the USB port? I looked on eBay and they all look the same size as a cigarette plug (too big for GSA beak) ?

Mine was $30 shipped. I didn't even look at the price. Let me see if I can find a cheaper one.

Make sure you check the amperage rating for the ports. Most of the current cell phones on the market like at least 2.1 amps. At least that what my Samsung Galaxy S4 likes. Devices will charge at a lower rate but it takes them a lot longer.

Cheap may not buy you the amps you need.

Yeah, I may just buy the powerlet outlet. At least I'll know what I'm getting and it will be from a dealer in the USA.

No issues powering my iPhone and Garmin GPS at the same time.

your point is well taken but you can find a 4.0+ amp dual port to charge two devices at once at maximum speed
