So what you're saying is you spent the entire average tax return of $2500 on the GSA. I couldn't recommend a better way to provide stimulus to our economy!

PICS!!!

I've been talking way too much about it but just finished.. so am excited.

Woodys Wheels - hubs and 21 inch front rim - full set front and back - with TKC's for dirt riding.

...it's a beautiful thing.

Did you also do the new lower triple tree on the front to raise the front fender?

It looks very nice - I'm also wanting to install a new set of Woody's Wheels...

Yes I did... you can just see it on the front wheel pic. Very nice quality and cool design - from Ralle-moto. Great guys and reasonable price.

Helped a friend rewire his bike as we replaced the aux lights,, again. We also added steele quick disconnects. The bike is a 2011 BMW R1200GS Adventure.

Started with wires looking like this. Neat, but not protected.

In progress.

The wide part is an uncutable cable folded several times and rerouted for clearance to the tank.

Rerouted wires for clearance.

Completed. Looks much neater, and is far more protected.

The chrome Quick Disconnect.

In all we took about 6 hours and change to finish it.

Finally! I get to post here!

I mounted a set of Kenda Big Blocks last Saturday. The rear was a little tough. I did it at my friend's house who just got a new No Mar tire changer. We put a little nick on the rear rim. Oh well, it's not a new bike anymore. Now I can take it off road! Whoo hoo! On the ride home, they felt strange. The ride "taller" than the Tourances I had on it. What I mean is that it felt like a long drop when I leaned the bike. I didn't ride very far, so I don't have a definite report. But, they didn't feel as stable as the TKCs I had on my KLR. I'll report as I put mileage on them.

Ilium highway pegs and BMW aux tail light

My weekend project. The folks at Ilium were nice enough to send me a new part when I "experimented with the design" and dicked up the original. No charge! Many thanks!

I removed the 2 large yellow plastic pieces in order to repaint them in black and decided to rip the can out!

I washed mine. Not a real good cleaning wash, just to knock the last of the oil leak off.
Fresh rubber is sititng in the garage waiting along with a few fix-it parts. Next weekend I'll get back and have a day and a half to work on it.
Visited the "next" bike too.
