Ha! It was late and it's hard to shoot a good picture of a black bike on a street with no streetlights.

Picked it up from inmate SashaPave who had an ad here.

I've only ridden it 3 miles so far, but I'm pretty stoked.

Very nice! Congrats! Do I see an Ohlins hiding at the front? What have you got on the back?

Yep, Ohlins at both ends. I couldn't be happier with it.

today, I bought mine!

I just acquired my dream bike today - a virtually unused 2008 GSA with every factory option -ABS, ESA, Enduro transmission, alarm, full aluminum panniers, Touratech tankbag and HID aux lights.... and the best part - only 800km on it. I also did my first upgrade; fitting the Odyssey PC535 that seems to be popular with many other inmates. The OEM battery did not fare well over the last couple years of storage and burst a couple cells. I was hoping to hit the road with it first thing in the morning tomorrow, but a sudden blizzard just hit about ten minutes ago, so who knows. I really hope summer falls on a weekend this year...

Footpeg and sidestand work

Footpegs

Made the stock footpegs into these with a little welding. Very comfortable now and not sure why I did not do it earlier.

I welded some a metal extention the the sidestand so my GS does not lean as much with the GSA shocks I put on it. The center stand also needed new bases on it since the old ones were worn through.

Only about a 3 beer job, but fun to work on all the same.

Re-checking valves....

Hey guys, quick question for you all. I'm re-checking the valves as well as a few other things to try and get my bike to run smoother. Can you guys take a look at the photo, the top of one of the spark plug boots has a split in it. Will this have any adverse effects? The cap under it is plastic so I'm thinking the spark shouldn't come through but just thought I would ask.

Just fire it up and grab ahold of it........no need to wait for the dark. If you see stars and break wind, replace it
