Old Gas

I'm about to get my XT600 back on the road but there's 2-3 gallons of year old (or older) gas in the tank.Where can I get rid of it or can I just put some fresh gas in with it and burn it?

Throw it in a car with a full tank, it will be fine.

Then fill the bike and ride it more often!

?

Put it in your friend's GS when he's not looking. It'll run him crazy for a day!

I always dump gas like that into my lawnmowers...typically they'll run on anything remotely combustible

Trucks (and cars) are a lot more forgiving when it comes to shitty gas. In the spring I siphon the fuel out of my sled and run it through the truck.

I threw a couple gallons of old gas in my wife's Accord a few years back. It ran rough for days and threw and engine code. I wouldn't suggest putting it in an injected car. These days I save old fuel and use it to scrub oil spots off the garage floor.

Speaking of lawn mowers, did you know the only reason a Briggs&Stratton was invented is so they had some place to use Pennzoil?!

I restored a TT600 a couple years back. That engine was surprisingly strong.
