Hard to believe but there's a 60° v-Twin motorcycle that claims 324 pounds wet. Lots of hand laid composites and state of the art engineering concepts.
![]() So what if it's made of cheese, it's a lightweight v-twin innitt? Just stating that it isn't asking too much to build a bike like Lukas has outlined. It should be easily achievable. The bike is easy, the engine, notsomuch.. Aprilia, BRP, Rotax, KTM, and a few others have been working on it for a while. |

Oh wait! Here it comes!
The Nay Sayers!! The fuel tank is too small! It has no wind protection! It’s only got a 19” front tire! The seat height is too tall and the seat is to hard or too wide to too narrow! There are no provisions for bags! There’s no sump guard! The Exhaust pipe it routed too low! It’s got high Exhaust! It doesn’t have low Exhaust! Its Air Cooled! It only makes 95 HP! It weighs 385 pounds! It’s not water cooled! No traction control, no ABS!

A puzzling quote from the article... "The 174 kg (385 lbs) dry weight and the 95 hp engine may not be the happiest combination for an off-road bike with seemingly little touring prospects,"

95 hp and 385 dry sounds a lot like the super enduro with the exhaust replaced with titanium ones. I don't dig the beak look either.

I doubt if KTM could make a bike more tourable that is lighter than that bike. But I don't know how much that 2 valve Ducati engine weighs either, it might be an anchor. I have an old ducati 900 Monster and I love the torque that engine puts out.
