TX Adv Riders, Help me in Houston!

Gentlemen,

I have two weeks to spend in Texas due to work. I will have nothing to do between 4 and midnight everyday. Are there any great dealerships to visit? Or other gear shops to check out? Any other suggestions on things to do? I was thinking of going to the Space Center and maybe visiting Rice. Thanks for helpin me out!

The space center is worth seeing though i've never been there. Traffic is going to suck at 4, and i'm unsure when the tours run out there. The museum of natrual science is worth a visit too Memorial park is a great place to run if you're into that, also has a golf course.

Not sure why you would want to visit rice, there is the university of Houston so you mat be able to see a game there. If you like NFL the Texans are having their best year ever.

Plenty of dealerships too but I can't think of any one thats better that the others. If you have weekends off and rode the bike
then Sam Houston national forest has some bike frieindly trails.

A trip to Galveston is always a cool experience. Very Historic & Scenic old homes, and of course the Gulf. Gaudo's Seafood is always good. The Galvez Hotel is worth seeing. Downtown area is well worth seeing, too. Moody Gardens is pretty nice also. Only a hour away.

The Houston Museum District is cool. Lots of museums there.

The San Jacinto Monument
, where the Texans defeated Santa Anna and gained our independence from Mexico is interesting.

The Lone Star Motorcycle Rally is going on in Galveston this weekend. It is the second biggest rally in the state.

Memorial is the place to run. Houston's surprise is that it is a great restaurant town. Check out the website B4-U-Eat.com for comments.

You might visit any of these restautants for a good meal and good atmosphere. Kata Robata is good. Was pleasantly surprisd by Uchi.

The Village is an interesting place to wander around, lots of shops, bars and food. Not too far from Rice.

If you're bored on Thursday 11/8, come by The Spagetti Western at 7pm for the Houston BMW club meeting. Go east on I10 and get off at Shepherd/Durham 1608 Shepherd Drive.

The best motorcycle dealer in Houston is in Austin, Lone Star.
