I would say no -- the bikes are a radically different spec, there are no Yamaha WSBK spec bikes to draw from and there are tire provider issues.

Neil Hodgson just said, live, on air, that he has heard Aprilia will be pulling out of WSBK. One assumes they would still support customer teams (BMW, too, hopefully). Interesting development, if true.

Personally, I don't think it would hurt the series at all if it was all customer teams. It would bring back tuning shops and build companies like Yoshimura etc.

Honda had better come out with something more than BNG on their superbike if Nicky goes. Or he'd be moving from one no-chancer to another no-chancer ride. Rea's ride this weekend was a fluke because the equipment is not up to being competitive. Unfortunately Kropotkin's point about market affect is an ominius problem for the series.
