Tested it today at Mugello.

He has also been spotted in and around Noale as recently as Monday. Noale is where Aprilia's headquearters is located.

I think racing has been pretty good for Aprilia once they landed Max Biaggi. He definitely sold superbikes for them here in New England. Their CRT seems to be capturing attention too. Hiring Nick would be a coup for that company. He's probably better at selling motorcycles than anybody in MotoGP since Troy Bayliss.

Nicky on an Aprillia would be a good thing I think. A new direction with a company that would presumably be excited to have him on board, as well as willing to do everything possible to get him nearer the front.

Fixed

I doubt the rest of the world likes Nicky quite as much as the folks in the US.

I'm not so sure of that. He's a great character as well as a great rider and that translates well (in my opinion via experiences overseas).

I'm a big fan of Nicky and I agree he's a very likable bloke but I still don't think the rest of the world see him the same way Americans do - they have their own heroes for a start.

I agree, he is useful for a company that wants to promote their brand in the US. He has been a great spokesmen for Ducati in the US and their sales have been great here. I would love to see Aprila make that kind of push for the US market.

Totally agree - he would be a great addition to any team from a US marketing perspective, he's a very marketable guy.

He has the second highest amount of followers on twitter (of all Moto GP riders), right behind a certain G.O.A.T.

I think you might be surprised just how popular a certain perennial 8th place finisher is, world wide. Why do you think there is such a big fuss to keep him in Moto GP?

Because the US is a big sports-bike market and apart from Colin Edwards there are no US riders

He's a great guy, but he just isn't as marketable outside the US.

Nick could be from anywhere and he would have fans in his sport. Name four MotoGP riders you think are better at selling motorcycles than Nicky.

There are no better for selling than Nick, in my opinion. Not even Vale.

So who's better?

Dani?
Jorge?
Cal?

who's left?

Bradl?

Nick isn't just a home boy for people like me. He is a force everywhere. And why wouldn't he be? Our new kid will be big that way too. Just look at him on the podium. Who wouldn't love that? You know why? They are both grateful and we can see they are having fun like we would. It's a human thing, and I am very proud of Nicky69 for that exact reason.

If you want to know who sells in Moto GP, just scroll down to "riders merchandise."

http://store.motogp.com/en

BTW it is the same if you change the addy to /es.

If you are referring to more popular left to right, they are just in numerical order, not popularity.
