The AMA races weren't recorded. The WSBK races were posted in the race thread.

Would someone re-post the link here so I can avoid accidently seeing the results before getting the video?

It is tough to know what to believe; the Italian press claim Ducati have made an ultimatum to Ben Spies to move him to WSBK for 2014.

Spies claims his contract is for Moto GP and that he will be there as long as he is healthy.

The same Italian press also claim Francis Batta is threatening to break his contract with Ducati as they have not delivered the promised development, that he has footed the costs for the season, and that sponsors are abandoning the team due to a severe lack of results. He also says the lack of results is not down to the talent of the riders but down to the state of the Panigale. According to the Italian press.

High drama.

In an interview with the BBC a while back Spies explicitly said his contract was with ducati and they could put him in any championship they liked.

I don't envy that whole situation. Everybody lost in that series of injuries.

That being said: In top form, Spies was never gonna put that lame Duc on the podium. In SBK, they repeated their performance.

Audi needs to shit or get off the pot. Either get serious about fixing the Ducati Racing program, or delete it from the company.

As it exists, it is just negative publicity. Cancel the program, and there's negative publicity for a while, but then it goes away.

Instead of having it happen every race weekend.

Probably the Panigale have hard limitations in itself for developments. Because it seems a competitive machine for WSTK. At the contrary when WSBK teams put their hands on it nothing happens...

Francis Batta claims Ducati has done nothing to develop the Panigale as an SBK. Which is somewhat understandable considering the trouble on their hands in Moto GP.

They did claim to make some improvements at Laguna, but the results did not reflect that.

Also it seems to me that just a very few of the usual "third party" factories of accessories for Ducati motorcycles have developed something for the performance improvement of the Panigale. And I think this is due to the "quirkyness" of the new un-traditional Ducati engine.
And maybe at Ducati they were quite sure someone of those would come up with something to help this project to improve, but eventually no one did.

WSBK to adopt "EVO" rules beginning in 2015.

http://www.roadracingworld.com/news/...rules-in-2015/

Will this cause other mfgs to exit WSBK (like BMW), or bring more into the fold?

Are factory efforts a thing of the past? Privateers to dominate the field?

It's sure to further distinguish WSBK from MotoGP, at least as performance is concerned.

Will the AMA adopt this rules package?

Lots of questions, I know, but at least it will be interesting to see how things unfold.

It's part of Dorna's plan to water down WSBK so that it cannot compete with MotoGP.

Seems like a reasonable set of rules that won't detract from the racing. If it reduces the cost and encourages more teams on the grid, that's okay. Moto matters has a nice analysis Here

Exactly.

The last two rounds of BSB, with their watered down EVO rules, had more thrilling racing than all of this year's WSB.

Was it a weekend to be proud of? No, but he showed the Ducati can be fast.
