What were your dates for starting the TAT

I started it back on July 2 of 2011. Was going to earlier, but work... Turned out it was way still to early for Colorado snow.

How was the section after MS & how long did it take for you to get to MS.

I ended up catching up with the tat in Summertown TN, and from there I made it to Mississippi the first day. I really enjoyed the eastern half of the tat. Oklahoma was probably the highlight of my trip. Mississippi tat road is nice, but the red clay/mud mix is terrible--Not nearly as bad as the slick paved Tennessee creek crossings though. You were simply guaranteed to wreck on those. However, apparently Sam updated Tennessee, and I only had the old maps.Think MS only took me two or so days. Arkansas gets pretty farmy, if you know what I mean. It was still nice though.

Did you camp mostly?

Yeah I camped every night except two out in Utah when I had to put the wrr in the shop for some repairs. Camping is really easy. All I did was ride till evening and ask a homeowner if I could set up camp in his or her yard, as I'd most likely be gone before they even woke up. Only had one person in Moab refuse, the reason being his wife wasn't to happy about a stranger in the yard with kids in the house. This method of asking permission actually helped out a lot of times, with residents inviting me inside for dinner and drinks, as well as a couch when it poured outside.

Yeah I understand about the finances. You could always drive out west, and take the trail east back to Tennessee. As long as you load it in your gps correctly it wouldn't be an issue.

I'll post the rest of the pics in a bit. But here's the safety lesson from the ride.

That was exactly how it look when the cover came off yesterday.

look on the bright side: your sprocket teeth still look good - just a bit out of place

Squirrely, you need a sponsorship with a good pit crew.

How many miles do you have on the DR now?

Would look right at home on a circular saw. The raw horsepower of a DR200 will destroy driveline parts if you don't perform a little maintenance every couple of years or so.
