Doulos is still sick and is out.
The Chattsworth ride will start at 10am at Hardees.
There will not likely be a second start at 2pm. (Given Doulos was the only one that was going to be there at that time.)

I'm going to ride for several hours. I'll leave around 12 or so from downtown Chattanooga. Send me a PM if you are interested. I'm thinking about a loop down through GA and AL, up to Sewanee, over to Bersheba Springs, on the Spencer, and then head back.

Plans have been firmed up. Riverside Beverage at 12:00 eastern for a road ride.

Well I just had a sweet ride today doing a giant loop from Rock Creek to Tatum Lead to Conasauga popping out at Eton. I'm kinda glad I missed you guys!

I had BNC running the entire way to capture the route. Done.

Sorry we missed you. I was at Hardees for breadfast at 9:30 and then three of us left the parking lot at about 10:20. We didn't see any other riders. Post up next time you are attending and we'll make sure we don't leave without you.

All I can say is it was a great day for riding. Perfect weather...
pics and vids to follow. Too tired to post right now...

Under normal circumstances, I'd call you a slacker...

...but there is a very good reason for your current state of fatigue.

The show will start when the upload is finished.

Totally my bad. I got a late start, had to fill my tank, then made two wrong turns trying to get across Houston Valley.

Now I have the route to Chatsworth down so I shouldn't miss another appointment.

Was an amazing day indeed!

The vise grips worked great, but I was only half way up the two mile climb...
The first time I squeezed the vise grips to pull in the clutch, it pinched my fingers. So, I had to ride the rest of the day with only my thumb wrapped around the grip and really just rested the other four fingers on top of the vise grips.... Which means, I dropped the bike a good four or five more times on that climb...

That's what makes it adventure riding... Loved every bit of it....

I installed some wrap around bark busters on my WR250R because of pictures like that. Glad to hear it was a good time.

Oh yeah, you earned your stripes out there today for sure on that heavy 650L.

The day started out with a typical trail ride up Windy Gap with a right turn onto Milma.

Then we got to an intersection where the gate is normally closed. Of course, MrTwisty looked at me and said, "I've never seen THAT open before." We both had the same though and proceeded into new territory.

Twisty crossed this creek and was giving pointers on improper line selection.

After crossing the creek, the woods started to get thicker, and thicker, and ...

Can you spot the elusive Austrian pumpkin?

TN3Sport clearly has that "Which way does the trail go?" look about him.

By this point, MrTwisty was trying not to laugh TOO hard.

We rode the ungated trails and explored them all until they petered out into a morass of fallen trees. Back to the creek crossing coming the opposite direction. TN3Sport made it look easy after witnessing the unintentional fullmonte whore's bath incident just moments before.

Let's just say the experience was too fleeting to catch on film and leave it at that... or not.

So after getting my man panties and gloves soaked, it was time to explore another trail we had passed earlier. None of us so much as dabbed a toe in this creek, which was much bigger.

After the first crossing, we arrived at the second one, which we deemed not a good idea considering the weather and the icy water.

In the hiking world, I think this kind of find is referred to as trail magic. Seems appropriate.

TN3Sport emerging from the open gate. From here, we climbed the mountain on the Tibbs trail up to Lake Conasauga.

MrTwisty making it look easy peasy.

Site of the clutch lever incident.

With TN3Sport's new handy dandy vice grips clutch lever it was time to soldier on up the hill for another couple of miles.

After this spill he said, "I broke my clutch lever again."

More rocks please.

Oops, almost made it.

After reaching the top, it was decided that we should take the gravel back down the mountain on account of TN3Sport's modified clutch lever, even though he was ready to ride Windy Gap back down. Great ride today gents. I enjoyed that immensely and look forward to the next one.
