Haley rd has been graded now

Monty and Squirrel - Jesse found Haley to be very easy now that it has been graded by a bulldozer. they took out all the rocks and its pretty groomed. Still about a 30 yard stretch after the creek crossing that was a little iffy but not bad.

On the side trail - Jesse and I both went down - both were cases of leaves and front tire washouts - I need to get some riding boots as I am now icing the ankle... ouch

I am up for the TN trail ride with Hawk - sounds like a good ride!

Wicked

I guess I ran Haley road just in time, it was still gnarly when i ran it on the gs. Maybe the rangers saw me going up it and decided to grade it so fools like me don't kill ourselves.

Hated to hear about the ankle!

Who is up for riding tomorrow?

Note the new signature! Happiness is a new toy on the trailer!

I had no intention of being THAT GUY today, but I sure am glad y'all were with me. I had the best pit crew in TN. That "other" group of BMW riders would have just called AAA. Thanks to Hawk for making the personal appearance and bringing the "required items". Also, big ups to Jesse for the tube and Squirrely Girl for the dainty fingers to get the valve stem through the rim hole. Squirrely and I found some stuff that ended up being a little bit technical after the group split.

It was a good thing we (I) turned around when it got really steep. Riding tough stuff with the flu is not exactly a good idea. Had a great time with 30 miles of dirt. Thanks for putting this together Squirrelly.

Rufjeep, way ahead of you... however I wish I could join you. I really appreciate the invite. I have 24 hour maintenance window for a client starting at 7am and may need every minute of it working with a team of developers in india to fix a production software problem for a major US telco. It took an act of congress to get the maintenance window or I would be tempted! lol.

Is this the general area you had in mind?

Looks like you had a good ride! I'm headed in another direction today, though. I've hear rumors that the trails up here can be connected to Lewis Chapel, and that you can get almost to Dunlap via trails. Maybe you can, and maybe you can't....but I have been entertaining myself with the trying of it.

Hey RuffJeep ~ What time are you heading out today?

I know ABHulgan may get off work early and I'll let him know what you're doing.

I'm curious about that area since everyone seems to be bringing it up

Have a good ride

I'm going to head out in a few minutes. I've been looking at the sat views on google maps, and it sure looks like some trails I know could possibly be linked up to the Lewis Chapel area....the real goal, though, is to link them to Dunlap, then figure out the dirt route form Dunlap to Coalmont. From Coalmont you could go down the gorge to the TTC, then up Hailey rd, across Big Fork, and back to the beginning. I have no idea if it's even possible, but attempting to work it out is alot of fun.

Man, it was a fantastic morning. I made it a little further...probably spent 4 hrs exploring, and was ultimately foiled by a gorge with no apparent outlet. I did manage to complete a pretty awesome loop, though...it was pretty funny, because my GPS dies and I had been out in the woods for about 4 hrs. I had it in my mind that I had really made some progress and would probably pop out somewhere on Taft hwy....heck, I came out of the woods and was 1/2 mile from where I started

I am continually amazed by the amount of trails around here.
