DR650rs exhaust compatibilty

Does anyone know if the exhaust from a 95> dr650s will fit a 92 rs? I have struggled for days to find an exhaust for my bike and have now ordered a MOTAD stainless silencer and link pipe from the dr650s model in desperation, I dont mind a bit of modification being required but welcome input on what nightmares lay in wait for me?

Mine would have had twin silencers but am happy to run a single one as per the dr650s/se, Any input welcome.

I'm putting an FMF Powerline on mine. Needed an extra bracket made to support the back end, but it fits well and there is enough clearance between it and the side cover. Just need to take it to an exhaust shop to get the mid pipe made.

Need to take a new photo because I welded a mandrel bend to the outlet, to direct the flow away and down from indicator and rear guard.

Marving make a single bolt on replacement, but I would not recommend them as they are very restrictive. If you don't mind a bit of noise, the muffler off a 450 four stroke MX bike will probably fit. 4.5" would be the maximum width that could be used without clearance issues.

Just noticed your stand looks almost identical to mine. I cut a hole in the top plate to clear the sump. The frame rails now sit flat on the plate and the bike doesn't wobble all over the place. Also lowered it by 2.5" and I can now slide it under when the bike is on it's wheels.

Thanks Rowie, Have made my own system up now, bought a stainless silencer, meant for a pre 65 trial bike, so, unsure how loud it will be but as its all now in stainless, itll shrug off the corrosive salt that our roads are now covered in.

Had to BUY a mandrel bent bend for the header as my bender would not do it, made a sleeve from the next size up, the pipe is 38mm whereas 41mm is 38 INTERNAL. the rest of the system slides into this, I dont know if I need to clamp it yet as the bike is not running.

Its worked out a bit close to the airbox, hopefully that will not melt it.

The little can cleaned up well, cheap too 30 posted. Ive set it as far back as poss for two reasons, I couldnt bend the pipe too sharp without collapsing it so Ive had to use long gentle curves. The pipe being this far back means it allows luggage to go on too.
