Javier, the recovery driver, has his dog - Hector - guarding the compound...

Hector has probably the deepest bark I've ever heard - it was like a tiger coughing...

He's a Spanish Mastiff - a sheep dog. Javier says he feeds him loads, but can't seem to get him to keep weight on.

Personally I think a hungry Hector is probably the best anti-burglar device yet invented...

How are the mighty fallen...

That bash plate looks like it's still usable!

I still have some bolts off of that bike in my garage...I'll replace one of my bike's bolts with one from your bike so its spirit will ride on....as infrequent as that may be.

Glad to hear that you're mostly okay.....truly the Adventure Rider....

I too was enjoying this ride report until I saw your bike in flames. At first I thought it was a well done spoof, then my reaction "holy shit" this is for real. Glad you are ok mate, you will be flying back now I would assume.

The Adventure is off to explore those twisties in motorcycle heaven.

Glad you're okay, Mike. I remember a time when you didn't fare so well.

Well done on saving your belongings and getting the photos.

For a minute there I thought you might have been Mr O'Leary himself, he would have the same user name.
