New shoes for the for the GSPD. I was pleasantly surprised that enduro 3 saharas are a lot cheaper here than in the states - under $200US for a set. The MT60s that came on the bike had a little bit of tread left, but i didn't like how dried out and cracked they were so they got replaced. I took the bike out to the mountains for some dirt road exploring today and put another 200 miles on it. All went well, except the dirt roads really let me know that the shock and steering head bearings need attention badly. Lots of knocking. That'll be next on the list as soon as some relatives fly down for xmas and act as parts mules.
Still some tread on the MT60s ![]() ...but these cracks aren't too reassuring and are a lot bigger with pressure in the tires. ![]() Work time... ![]() New shoes and my new favorite tire irons. Wow, these things make tire changes on tubeless rims a LOT easier. Not exactly travel size though. ![]() ...and out for a ride in the mountains today.

I just shipped off the shock to racetech to get a full rebuild; new seals, bushings, heim joints, oil and maybe modify the reservoir cap to use a schraeder valve instead of just an allen bolt as a nitrogen fill port. They should have it done soon and shipped off to my parts mule... I mean... mother in law who's going to bring it down in a couple weeks along with oil filters, an air filter, new ignition wires, steering head bearings, a swingarm boot, a toolkit, and the necessary bits to rip out and plug up the pulse air system. In the next couple weeks while the thing's immobile I'll replace the fuel line, clean the carbs out, flush the fuel tank, as well as do some general investigative disassembly. I should have this thing ship shape before too long.

"No, no, you don't understand... ours go to 11. That's... one more."
I just talked to racetech today and they finished the rebuild, but they did not change out the heim joints as they didn't have the size in stock. Does anyone know what size these use by chance so I can order them and have them shipped down? Anyone know a shop that stocks lots of old WP parts??

Where do you go when the road get really really rough???? 11 that's where! This one goes to 11!
Glad to see you have a bike to explore on, I know it was eating you up to be without your machine! This should help the days go by peacefully.

You gotta think that someone at that company has seen that mocumentary and intentionally did that. There's just no other practical reasoning for it.
