Relief ride sunday?
Can we get a convoy together to drop off supplies to the worst-hit areas in the Tri-state area? We may not be able to carry much, but we can pick our way into tight spots and whatever we bring will be appreciated.
Thoughts? |

Not sure of the logistics of something like this but it'd be cool to do. Need more notice though (at least I would, anyway). Might be worth reaching out to some NYC and Jersey shore inmates for some feedback and or ideas on places that could use it the most. A little co-ordination on the other end couldn't hurt.

I have 2 places to hot today. Brooklyn needs flashlights. On Staten island, tailgate Joe (pay tailgate at jets game) is bringing his tailgate setup and hot food to SI, free. I want to bring other stuff. I was thinking cookies, as you can fit a lot in saddlebags.
Trying to find both items now. I am based out of jersey city. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 |

Replied. New Dorp high school in Staten island is a relief area. They need D and AAA batteries. Also, all the NYC cops I spoke to need D batteries. New dorp is MC only ride, IMHO. Too many cars coming and going. Have to be creative to get there.

Between Sunday and Monday and between me and members of the LD community, over $1300 in supplies were delivered to Brooklyn, Staten Island and Sayreville, NJ.
Do what you can to help. It is appreciated by all. Sent from my Galaxy Nexus using Tapatalk 2 |

Great job guys.
![]() ![]() We had something similar going here during the last couple of calamities locally. Aside from helping the impacted areas, I think this is a great way to help change the stigma some people have about bikes and riders. Not all of us are pirates, and not all of us are competing to be organ donors. This site has more cool people on it than I ever imagined existed, and aside from being a cool place to hang out in and meet some people you enjoy riding with, it has a lot of positive impact in the community. Once again, great job guys.

Check out my thread under The Rockaways part 2. We're you riding two up and took a stroll on the beach?

Rockaway Relief Convoy
A convoy of three different KLRs with a Versys and a baby GS and a Triumph? That was us. Check out TengaiJohn's original thread.
