Steep and Rocky's Black Rock Desert Ride
Its that time of year again for our anniversary ride. This year we decided to explore around the Black Rock Desert area. Left Denio this morning and are currently in Gerlach NV. Put in right at 200 miles today and a lot of it was steep and rocky. Don't have very good internet here so I am just doing a short teaser report for now. Here is a small sample of some of our pictures.
Some of it was flat and very fast riding. Stay tuned for the full report once we get back home. ![]() ![]() ![]()

![]() Nearly every time you start a ride report I need to open Google Earth and I learn of another cool place to ride close to where I live.

Looks like fun! I spent a week riding around there quite a few years ago. We parked the truck at Trego Hot Springs and rode all directions from there. That is HUGE country with lots to see. I'm patiently waiting for the rest of your report and pictures...Have fun.

Made it back to Denio by 5 pm. 180 miles for the day. Decided we didn't want to spend a second night in the Denio motel. (the bed was bad and was very expensive for what it was) Loaded the bikes and hit the road. Just barely got home. Parked the truck with the bikes and all of our stuff including the cameras in the big shop. Won't look at it again until tomorrow, so no pictures from todays ride for now. Tired, but had a great trip. Will try to post a real ride report within the next few days.
Stay tuned. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

A little late to see the leaves on the Aspens but there were still some fall colors for us to enjoy, We rode through Soldier meadows property and got a pictures of the Guest Ranch, we did not stop but plan to go back and stay, next year.Since I'm a map girl it is nice to have a sweetheart who can connect the dots and put together some amazing tracks, not certain how he does it, and don't really want to know, our system works for us.
