Weather along the route as a average.

May 18 - 27, 2013

Single rider and was looking for some input on weather during this time frame and if most roads across Canada are hard surface or dirt. Dirt doesn't bother me, but dirt, snow and ice mixed together might slow me down quit a bit.

Everything is paved except the Dalton Hwy and much of the southern 175 miles is paved on that.

Weather.... 30 degrees and raining/snowing or 75 degrees and sunny. On the Dalton you could still hit a winter storm and temperatures in the teens. Even Fairbanks is subject to getting snow that time of year. The good news.... fewer and dumber skeeters.

Thanks, I appreciate the information. Gerbings should take care of the cold and Klim outer gear should take care of the elements. Good news on those skitters.
