The back of the light hangs out a bit past the back of the mount.
from the edge of the mount bolt slot to the back of the light is approx 1.5 inches, the mount can be flipped around . by flipping the mount around the distance from the slot to the back side of the light is about 1 inch.
Any chance you can post a photo or link to the mount you would like to use?

Here's some photos to hopefully help show what I'm trying to do.

First here's what the bracket looks like...



Next here's how I would like to install it on the bike (notice it's to outside of the fork)...

I just measured and it is about 1 1/2 inches from the bolt centre to the edge of the bracket. Your bracket may just be long enough, maybe. If you spin your bracket forward a bit (say 45 degrees) and turn the Lights mounting bracket around so the bit that sticks out is to the rear of the light (opposite to how it it is in the picture below. You should be able to fit it with enough clearance.

Got a set of twins & installed them last week-- those are some stout lights.

I did accidentally push the Verboten Button in trying to shoehorn everything under the stock headlight, but I pulled it back out & reseated it and everything seems to work just fine.

I have not been able to test them because it gets dark later than I can stay up right now (I get up at 3:30 AM).

After reviewing the initial post in this thread a couple of times, I could not find a way to obtain an ADV discount. Thats the only complaint I have concerning these lights.

Good stuff-- keep it up!

I apologize for the adv code. It is listed several times in this thread and also in the vendors sticky section.
For others the code is ADV

Could you reccomend a set of driving lights for my 2009 Bonneville T100? Like everyone else, I am looking to improve my sight lines at night and my conspicuity during the day. I was thinking of mounting on the forks to create a triangle of light.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

In keeping with the Bonnies classic styling, I would recommend the NXG Prime Led lights. They are compact and offer a good punch as well.

They are dimmable if that is a requirement.
Built using the same quallity standards that the Long Range lights are.
IMO the single biggest thing you can do for conspicuity lighting is to create the safety triangle, I could not believe what a difference I noticed when I did that to my bike.

Where did you get those brackets? They look awesome!

Pre-planning for my WR250R.... I was initially thinking of mounting a set of those on the little aluminum bracket where the round amber reflectors are (taking those out and mounting them on the plaztic faring instead)...
whether that would work or not IDK, but your brackets seem to be a much better idea, in which case I would want to mount them under those reflectors, also creating a triangle of lights for being seen much better by oncoming traffic.

Thoughts?

2004 950 Adventure.
I've perused the thread and am impressed. The problem is mounting for me


It would appear my only option is to mount on the top bar, which is curved. If I put the tube clamp that you sell facing forward, is there enough room for the wire out the back of the light? As in, can the light swivel 180degrees on that bracket? Looks like it might.
The only other option would be to weld tabs coming straight forward and mount the light upside down.

I dislike driving at night and the headlight on the KTM is fairly pathetic. With an upcoming week+ trip to Colorado, night riding is a definite and I would like to see the edges of those roads

The tube mount brackets swivel all directions, I haven't seen an app where they would not work. The top bar looks perfect and is where mine are mounted on my 950 ADV. I have the other style bars, you may need to still mount the light underneath the crash bars for tank clearance, but no need to weld a tab.
One thing I like about the short wire connections is that to do service work, its easy to unplug the light and remove the crash bar, Before I installed the Long Rang on my bike I had the penetrator 310"s that have long cords, what a pain it was to remove my tanks, I made sure that didn't happen this time
