Yeah 40 watts -WOW!! I love having good lights on my vehicles, but I am starting to wonder if these are starting to get to the point of too much for general use.

I am amazed at just how fast good LED lights are progressing at the moment and everytime I look at the website I find it hard to make my choices.

I am still trying to save up and get a pair of 25watters (with wide filters for lighting options)for my nightly drive, or do I wait a bit longer and get a pair of these???? Ahh, decisions, decisions!!

Well yeah , a well built 40 watt led isnt going to be general use . I used to think my old KC daylighters were more than anyone would need offroad untill the first time I went out on the beach with them and then I knew what my jeeping buddys from out west were talking about . You can not have enough light running open expanses at speed.

Way overkill

A single 40 watt emitter, in a 6.5" can. Filters change the beam pattern from a spot to a wide beam.
Im running the skene dimmer so I don't vaporize other drivers.
This setup was a one off for my bike, if there is interest we may make some up, but they are not cheap. lights alone are 900
I cant wait to try them out.. come on little brown truck.
Ill post some photos once I get a chance.

I have a XR650R with a Bosch H4 conversion on it running DC though a RS Stator. How do you think this LED will do on a set up like this? My Conventional bulb will dim some at idle, will the LED stay lit at low RPM's?

It sounds similar to our Rally light, It works great. It will be an improvement over a halogen bulb in any reflector the bulb will fit in.
Its a lower draw at 20 low and 30 for high.
I cant tell you what your stator is putting out at idle, but I would be surprised if you would see any dimming or flashing.. I just put one on a stock xr650R, no issues.

One question....it may have been answered already..i see some LED lights have a yellow color to the light and others are blue.......i have flashlights that look like they are throwing white light but have a nasty blue ring at the outer edge which i find distracting....what is the color temp of these lights and is there an outer blue of yellow ting to the light thrown..

I figure most recent light have dealt with this,,but who knows
