KTM 690 Enduro

Have not read the entire thread, but looks like Cyclops has great products.

My new KTM has about the worst headlight I have seen on a modern bike. I sometimes work until 3 am and even on LA freeways I spot deer now and then. So I am looking for solutions.

Looks like the only place to mount LEDs on this bike is up high, close to above or below the turn signals. I commute, so want the turn signals visible. I want daytime conspicuity. I want to see way down the road (75mph is good sight distance, right now stock it is uncomfortable over 60) and to the side, while at the same time not blinding other drivers. It would be great to get full lights on with high beam flash. I do want dimmability.

Oh, bike as limited electric output, so low wattage is good.

I want it all.

Price is less important than performance, at least in respect to Cyclop prices.

So what lights are best for me?

The 10 degree Long Range series would be my recommendation. In the near future we will have the same style covers used on the Long Range extreme LED light for the original Long Range round lights.
They (the 10 Deg)offer the farthest throw and lowest power draw in the industry. The trick is mounting on the 690, Lights mounted up high always work better than low mounted lights. We are working on a few fork style mounts for the 690,990 and 1190. Until we have those available We can offer one made by another manufacture or point you in the right direction.

10 degree Long Range set no headlight. The gate is 900 ft plus

Thanks for the info about the upcoming covers/lenses. I like the idea of the yellow for conspicuity and like the idea of being able to have the 10 degree lights but able to put a wider pattern throw on at least one. Seems like you bigger lights would be a bit much for the 690.

Now I just need to wait a bit to recover financially from buying the bike.

You guys rock!

The covers offer real tunability that is not found anywhere but on the Long Range extreme. I don't have an on dock date yet but they are coming.

Did you install them yourself? If so how difficult was wiring. I have the identicle bike.
I have the 10 degree on both sides. I did all work myself in the comfort of my garage, I think I did it with a beer in one hand it was that simple.

Honestly, I hate wiring work, i'll do it, but grudgingly and this install was a piece of cake. Again, since there was no need to use a fuzeblock etc, it made it that much nicer.

24 hrs on a 990

Here is a story that is in ADV Moto magazine this month.
Myself and our race team The Heavyweights got some press

Some lighting vendors talk the talk, while Cyclops walks the walk.
Racing and riding hard help us provide you with better products, no mounts or wires that break and complete kits with nearly nothing left to source or search for.

My 21st 24 hr race We have been in the lighting game a long time. That experience pays off for you.

2014 Perry Mtn 24 hr

Cyclops will once again sponsor and show our support for racers during the 2014 Perry Mtn 24 hr race. You never know the Heavyweights might even make the show.
We are proud to have supported this world class event for the past 7 years.

Beam filters for Long Range lights

We will have the Beam filters available for the Long Range Round lights next week.
The filters will be available in clear spot and wide beam as well as Amber spot and wide beam

The wide beam creates a nice upper cutoff and a great wide path. It is not a flood.

They will work best on the 10 degree lights. I don't recommend them for the 20 degree.

The filters Pop on and off in seconds with no tools required.

Now get truly tunable Lights for any application.

Run one wide beam filter and one spot for one of the best lighting combos available.

pricing will be 19.95 each

available mid next week.
