GAWDAMM Deer!!
My number finally came up. Got to spend the weekend in Durango for work. Coming back to Durango from Silverton on Sunday I hit a deer at 60 MPH. From what I hear my precious NX250 is totaled and I feel like I've been beaten to within an inch of my life. Luckily, my gear saved my life. Once I find my camera I'll post some pictures of the great riding that was done. I'll see about getting pics of the bike too.

They can be deadly, but they eat good, and a road kill tag is only $35.
![]() Sory you are hurting, but glad you servived, hopefully without too many broken bones and such. You now have a parts bike for your next NX |

bummer... glad you are still here. that could have gone even worst. have only hit deer one time in Missouri. hit a big ole doe ... slammed on my brakes or it would have been worst.
toasted my Porsche 911 ... luckily avoided a direct hit. lots of damage but could have been worst.

Sorry to hear of your accident but glad you're OK! I see more deer along the road on the last 10 miles into Silverton than anywhere else I think...there are always deer there!

Glad you're ok... sounds like you didn't get any serious damage (dislocations or broken bones), so that's pretty awesome.

Jeebus, Morgan - is that like life number 3?
Y'all remember this? Glad you're not a deer fur coated smear on the tarmac.

Glad your OK.
I hit one in Utah on the Ol ZX9 in 2000. Thought I broke my leg snapping its neck with my shin. Didn't go down but I probably should have. Better to be lucky and live. I might have some NX parts left in the shop, if you need em. Heal fast.

Sitting here right now with a sprained ankle. Should get cleared by the neuro doc tomorrow. Just have to get my bike truck and camera in Durango. Hopefully tomorrow. Then I can get pics posted. BTW, Hurricane Pass has some snow on it.
