Closed borders
I know I am not the first, but I'm also not the last.
The Moroccan-Algerian border. Is it still closed? If so, is there a website with plausible info on this? Maybe it would be an idea to have a sticky post about closed or impossible borders, because this is an issue that's bothering many of us planning a trip. Regards, Eyðbjørn |

Rounding the Med has been a desire of mine for a while so every now and then I ask myself the same question - I've never had any real luck, or help, using horizonunlimited but I use the Thorn Tree, which is the lonely planet forum, with reasonable success.
The link above gets you to a lonely planet thread on exactly this topic. Go check it out and if you go, please let us know what happened :)

This question has been asked for many years - answer has always been NO.
Another one is the road to replace the ferry from Egypt south to Sudan - answer has been NO, and if it does open it may only be for locals? There are lots of these types of questions. A search on the http://www.horizonsunlimited.com has always been helpful to me. Might depend on how you ask and/or if your the 99182386 person to ask the same question? ![]() I expect if these things do change someone will be happy to place that info on the respective sites. |
