Howdy all, the Mrs. and I just picked up our Tiger 800XC this week. Only thing I didn't like was the bar height, so I did risers right away. This is the bar riser from PowerMadd, it's their 2.25 inch tall by 4.75 inch wide for 1&1/8 inch bars (the 2.25 tall is the only one they make for this size bar). You can see they are the pivot style, which allows for a nice amount of adjustment. I like that they are one piece and simple, and that gap gives me ideas for mounting an aluminum GPS bracket. Install took 5 minutes with my 7 y/o helping.

luggage, protection, and all the rest coming.

Thanks. Yep, I like how clean it is, and that it keeps the width down, unlike the Rox.

$0.99 mod - yellow aux lights

By far and away the least expensive mod I've made to the bike.

So you applied a yellow Sharpie to the lens?

No, I didn't even have that thought. I'm not that much of a free thinker.

Instead, I used yellow lens tint film, the kind with a light adhesive. Cut small squares, stuck them to the light center, and worked outward. As I neared the edges I stopped, applied heat (heat gun or hair dryer will work) to get the film to shrink a bit and follow the curvature of the lens. I then trimmed the circle with a razor knife and used heat once more to blend the final edges to the lens curve.

And that's only because I can follow directions!

That doesn't look like the UNI.
Have you done something creative using filter foam and the OEM snorkel?
If so, I want to know more about it.

Unless those are LED's you may bake and bubble that tint. Looks good either way though

Yep the Sharpie would saved you some time. But I like your idea also.

I just put yellow bulbs in on my Roadie. Got a pair of the Hella Optilux H3s off Amazon for $15. The connector blades on the bulb wires were too big for the Triumph connectors in the fog light housings, but I trimmed and filed them down a bit and they work just fine.

Fog lights on forks

Has anyone tried mounting aux lights on the plastic fork protectors where those reflectors bolt on? It seems like a good place but I am not sure if that plastic piece would be sufficient to hold lights over time without breaking? I do not recall seeing any one on here do that yet.

It's the ABS pre-filter. Different to the non ABS model.
