central qld overnite ride

Had a look around monto/krombit tops areas

The riding is open for many kms, there is a bit of tar/sealed road but you can divert to do dirt roads, not the quickest way but better

This is the dawson developement road, time to take the lh turn towards theodore

After theodore go out towards camboon, scenery is nice and the country seems to change from km to km

I crossed the highway nth of monto and went towards cadia dam,i was planning to overnite stop in this area for the ride to the tops the following day

Good riding along road to cadia, this area reminds me of where i rode alot when i was younger, the esk/kilcoy/jimna region in south east queensland, looked the same!

Got to cadia dam, very nice spot...good fishing

Stayed the nite at many peaks pub, good meals and rooms

Next morning went up towards the krombit tops region.

The reason for the trip was to have a look at the b24 bomber,im a huge aviation buff and it ment alot to me to go to the site...heres some photos

Was very humbled to look at the site,no words can explain.Jumped back on the bike and rode along some trails towards overnite stop

Had no real plan for overnite but ended heading towards coastal town of 1770/agnes waters, great place

Bike loves this

Nice views from township 0f 1770,was great to ride the different terrain/views over the last 2 days.

Stayed at agness waters for the night, just put some chain lube on the 690rr and give it a cuddle before bed

This watercraft is to take tourists along coast for trips

green grass and high tides forever

In the morning was away from the coast in a few 100kms,country changes once again.Went towards monto for a top up of fuel

After fueling up at monto went and had a look at "bunyip waterhole" and then went out towards theodore area towards home

Best hamburgers in world found here

Turn right
Gas pipeline construction

Turn right

After a few hours of good scenery and riding conditions was nearly home, the blackdown tablelands look a treat in the afternoon sun,im very luckey to be able to ride around these areas!
