Don't forget guys, we should pace ourselves here so that we have adequate thoughts to share over the break between Laguna Seca and Indy or it could make an unpleasant 4 week break intolerable.

4 weeks of realistic and ridiculous speculation.

By the time the summer break is over, we could have 5 new, complete sets of rules from Dorna.

And Ducati could produce more lab-rat bikes that still can't get out of their own way.

The Samuri was so deadly, it could slice a fly in half, in mid air. BUT, that was only because the Samuri could see the fly. The Ninja surpassed the Samuri, since the Samuri was dead before he knew what hit him.

This made me remember my 1982 Suzuki Katana (Samuri sword), which had a custom plate on it that read "Samury"? (Samuri?) I later got a Honda Hurricane 1000, which Honda claimed in an ad that "even the Ninja fears the Hurricane!"

He's got an AMA title too yes? Don't know as I didn't start following racing until 2006 when Nicky won.

Yes. Hayden has been AMA Superbike and AMA Supersport Champion along with winning the Daytona 200 when it was a Superbike race. And he was a top AMA Pro Flat Track competitior despite riding a limited schedule.

The addition of Nicky Hayden to the Aprilia WSBK team would be quite a boon to Aprilia's US sales.....would be enough for many to decide on an Aprilia over a Ducati.

Unfortunately I am not one of them .

I am way too tall- sitting on an RSV4 I felt like I was on a pocket bike.

Anyway, while I see that Al-takeUout Bautista has a solid contract for 2014, we have to wonder how NH would do on it.

Hopefully CE (although he is getting on in racing years..) is part of the equation.

Would be great to see him consistently in the top 10 again.

The 999R utterly dominated on the track from day 1. First weekend of the 2003 season: pole position, two fastest laps and two wins. Hodgeson went on to win the first nine races of the year.

It's still my all time favorite sport bike and while the masses of Ducati posers might not have appreciated them back then, they're pretty collectable (and priced accordingly) now.
