Hat off to Cal, couldn't have been easy and a good deal , payout, will play an important role. For the spectator like us it's too easy to pass judgement. We only watch racing, it's his shelf life and wallet, not ours. Do I think it increases his chances of winning? No, and realistically I think he also must feel this.

Like everyone has a breaking point, I also believe everyone has a price.

CC to the Ey-talian truckster. Hopefully for lots of $$$$

Then Espargaro with a 2 year Yammie deal. Got to keep the (Spanish) MotoGP series well stocked.

Interesting, 2014 will be one interesting year. I suspect Stoner being courted by Ducati and Honda.

I think this is great for the fans, 3 races within a race. You've got the actual MotoGP race between the Honda and Yamaha factory/satellite teams, the CRT race, and the Ducati race. Brilliant!

Hmm, so next year will be another teething year.
Same, same in the factory bike section.
Direct factory Honda and Yamaha four bike fighting for those first four spots. Aspargaro figuring out how to ride the Yamaha, so fighting to stay upright. The other sat-bikes circulating with learners aboard.
Those customer motors/bikes will not be plug-N-play. There's some stuff to learn.
Ducati somewhere back there with now, better paid Cal, bitching about the crap bike, and rolling around behind the front six bikes.
Meanwhile Nicky sent off to who knows what yet.
I guess the game will be who gets lapped by Marc.

Honda riders are currently 1-2 in the championship, I don't think they have so much interest. Ducati would give their left kidney to get Stoner back.

Cal will need to change his nickname to "Crash". He was maybe just learning to keep the wheels under him on a good bike.

Expect more than a few DNF's due to rear-tires burned off in frustration and lots of low-sides.

But good on him I suppose. I wonder what Tech3 was offering, along with sponsors? Probably works out to orders of magnitude higher on the Italian Bajaj.

I love watching him race, hopefully he gets some on-screen time.

Not true! Only two races:
  1. Hondas and Yamahas
  2. CRT, Ducati, etc.

Ducati can't be in a class by itself if there's a 50% chance Espargaro will beat them on Sunday. Unless, you're talking about the "least bang for the buck" class.

There's still half a season on the Yami to go.

Like they are going to give Cal the good parts? Yeah, right

Bye bye Cal. Perhaps you can come up for air on the Suzuki or a proddy Honda in a couple of years.

Jarvis said that Yamaha offered him a factory contract (like Spies has w/Ducati) and more money (rumor has it that Ducati will be paying Cal 2.5 million Euro). The deal breaker was that Cal wanted a guaranteed factory seat in 2015 and Yamaha wouldn't make that commitment.
