Not only is that clarification interesting for Forward, but also for the possibility of other teams to use the same spec/set up.

It also begs the question; is there any reason why the same could not be negotiated with Honda, say for Hayden, on LCR?

It seems like it would be beneficial for all manufacturers to develop their bikes to run the spec electronics.

The Proddy Hondas will be running the spec ECU.

He's Pramac Ducati's "Sporting Director," whatever that is.

I have seen that said, but I don't believe he holds that position any longer (I could be wrong).

See:

http://www.pramacracing.com/it/team

Also, GP One refers to him as Manager of Andrea Iannone and Alex DeAngelis, no mention of being with Pramac.

And, Ben's contract is directly with Ducati Corse.

Team Principal @ Pramac is Paolo Campinoti.

I think it is mostly Italian tabloid fodder. But we shall see.

I am wondering if their is wiggle room for a full spec RC211 with spec electronics.

If Yamaha and Ducati are doing it, why not Honda, too?

Pure speculation on my part.

Because that's not the way Honda work. They've already built the five proddy racers, so there's no way they're going to build even more bikes for teams which may or may not decide to use them.

They have propably 50 spare engines and frames ready to go, at any given moment. Would be fairly easy.

And i believe he meant prototype Honda with spec ecu like Forward with Yamaha is doing.

I figured as much. But what if someone wanted to pay for this years bikes to run with spec electronics? Probably not, but stranger things have happened.

Yep, that is what I meant. I think Krop understood that.

Tech 3 riders out qualify factory Yamaha riders. Here's hoping they do the same in the race!
