They would be wise to hire a test rider who can bring the test bike back to the pits. Smoldering piles of aluminum won't teach them much.

Smoldering piles of aluminum? You must be trying to be dramatic for some reason.

A test rider has to be able to ride on the edge of the equipments capability. You know that. Seems to me Hopper is a natural!

The Duc test rider has actually been pretty good since we have witnessed him close to Iannone in terms of lap times. But in my recollection, every time Honda or Yamaha install their test rider as a wild card, they lap at the back well off the pace. Hopper has probably never lapped at the back in his life at any level.

He's been lapping at the Island the last two days.

I have seen the photos, but not many details on the event.

Can any of our southern hemisphere inmates fill us in?

I think it's promotional stuff for P/Island.

Both him and Daryl Beattie have been doing 2 up laps , on CBR1000's , with local (so called) celebrities.

Yamaha test rider Nakasuga finished on the box at Valencia last year.

Sounds reasonable. Probably the week after Argentina. Your best bet is to kidnap Bernie Ecclestone and get him to put an F1 race on that weekend. That's the only way a race will be moved.

I'm not greedy, I'd like one of the daughters and some of the small pittance he's let them have

For those with a MotoGP subscription.

Just watched the "Silverstone debrief"

Win, place , show or end up in the weeds warm-up, MM is making parc ferme so much more animated.

Obviously all credit to JLo and DP for their incredible skill, but until the KID came along post race displays were dumb (JLo's moon walk, etc..) or faces that would be seen at a funeral.

Guess it would be asking too much if we could see a few more machines battling it out at the pointy end. But it is more entertaining than in many past years., IMHO.

Yeah the kid is fun to watch on the podium. He's the best thing to happen since Super Sic arrived.

It is only Wednesday and things are hopping already.

Maverick Vinales and Luis Salom will take the place of the departing Pol Espargaro and Tito Rabat at the Pons Moto 2 team for 2014.

Between WSBK Turkey and Moto GP Misano, it is going to be a busy weekend.
