When Nicky did demonstration laps at the Indy Mile a few years back, they say he did lap times that would have qualified him inside the top 10. Doing demo laps. I think it raised the level of respect others in Moto GP have for him.

Somebody has to come up with some $$ for Nicky

Krops recent story mentioned Nicky is the second most searched MotoGP rider, after Valentino Rossi

Ah for the full story as they say.

Yes. Stoner has complained about the media attention and commitments, but he has also explained why he has issues with the attention that he has received when he is not even a front runner. Basically he has asked why the likes of Steve Owen or Dale Wood (the series front runners) cannot get the coverage that he has received and yes he has a point as the series leaders get so little air time it is ridiculous.

Interestingly for the nay sayers, those that have seen him on and around the track do see a different Stoner to that in MGP, and even better more relaxed when out with the family at an RC club event.

He simply does not want unwanted attention where others more deserving are lacking it

As with all things, a partial story presented by the media is often construed as fact based on people prior perceptions .

Outside of the real factory bikes, the Ape is the one that's coming good of late.

It would be an interesting challenge for him, along with keeping him in MGP.

And no, I don't class the current ducs the same as the yammy and honder bikes.

Espargaro was lying fourth in Q2 today on the ART with not long left to go. If they make the improvements they're rumoured to be working on it could be even better next year. It'll probably feel great compared to the Ducati!

I suspect the rider makes that bike look better than it is.

But I hope for Aprilia too...

I dunno. Esp never rang bells like he was potential alien material. Good yes, but good in this field ain't saying much. With Nicky's experience, I see a lot of potential.

I think Aleix is doing an excellent job but I don't think Hayden would do a bad job either (especially with a new motor with pneumatic valve head and seamless box, plus whatever else they can throw at it).

If he was "all that" it wouldn't be his brother going to Tech3. He'll finish 11th or 12th tomorrow like usual. Sorry, brand me a hater or whatever ever but, the Espargaro brothers remind me of Ace and Gary*.

I think Alexis is wanting on a Yamaha just because his little brother is headed to a T3 Yamaha. But I think he would be wise to stay on the Ape.
