Just yesterday I watch the WSBK from Turkey(DVR'd), and Laverty did pretty good on the APE. He'll be a good teammate for Nicky.

The announcers did say something odd in a side comment, " can't fire him(Laverty) if he wins the championship". Seemed kinda odd considering the pending move to GP for them??

It's gotta be a bit of a dilemma for Aspar and Aprilia, that extra fuel allowance must make staying as they are very tempting. It'll be interesting if Forward Racing can get close to Tech3 (or even the Factory Yams) with their extra fuel.

Anyone know what the tire allowance will be in that case? Would love to see Hayden hammering the hell out of that bike, sliding around corners.

IIRC the CRT teams get an extra tyre option over and above those of the prototypes, I'm not sure if that will carry over to next years "Non Factory" teams.

1. Factory Prototype: 20 liters of fuel, 5 engines per rider, proprietary software. Entrants include Repsol Honda (and satellite teams), Yamaha (and Tech 3), and Ducati (and satellites).

2. Non-factory Protoype: 24 liters of fuel, 12 engines per rider, Dorna-spec software. Entrants include, potentially, every CRT currently on the grid, plus the "proddy" Hondas (based on the RC-V) and the Forward M1's.

"CRT" is no more.

So, for example, Aprilia could build an all-new ground-up racebike bike with pneumatic valves and seamless transmission, slap a Dorna-spec ECU on it, and run under the #2 rules. Or Aprilia can write their own code and run under the more stringent #1 rules. I'm hoping for the former . . .
