A low Country scooter tour

I'm finally taking my Silverwing on a trip! In the past few weeks I've been on ebay getting all my camping gear. Now that I've got it all together its time to hit the road! I'm not going very far. Just from my house in Charleston SC down to Fernandina beach Florida. I'll be taking back roads and stopping to grab geocaches on the way. This little trip will bring me through Beaufort Sc, Savannah, Jekyll island, and finally to Fort Clinch state park. Here are the pics.

I have been there. Can't remember if I was Geocaching at the time. I should look and see if I have gotten that one.

I found a lot of good ones on this trip Jekyll island is covered in them.

Great pictures. The moss laden trees certainly bring back memories from my childhood in northern Florida. We spent more time on the Gulf coast than the Atlantic side but I used to do some financial work in the Fernandino Beach area (Rayonier pulp mills). It's the first place I ever got up the nerve to eat oysters (steamed). Now I'm a fan. Also, at one time Fernandino Beach had the largest shrimp boat fleet in the U.S. Not sure about now.

That was before Forest Gump and the Bubba-Gump Shrimping Company built the largest fleet

Thanks for the pictorial. Enjoyed seeing the observation deck in Port Royal. My wife and I just discovered it recently and are awaiting a good sunset trip to visit again.
