Did I miss a new Tourance as well? Press release refers to one...

Still interested by this Karoo 3. I wonder if we're going to see a sudden release of new tyres, what with the new GS having different sizes...

Looks interesting. I like the aggressive look. I hope they perform better than the Heidenau's on road in the wet.

The detailed description (after translation, thanks) is quite thorough, but they don't even mention grip on wet asphalt. I'm anxious to see reviews and whether or not these turn out to be like the Heideau Scouts. Could be they look and sound good, but turn out to be finicky like the Heideaus on wet asphalt. I think I'll wait for the jury to return before getting too excited.

Yeah. Yeah.

I was gonna start a tire blog. But then I realized that all it was gonna say was "Put new tire on. Rode like an idiot. Tire now gone. Looking for new tire." Feck that. I can do that here.

Lusting after the Mefo rears my nephews are running on their big Katooms. What a good looking tire. We'll see how it lasts under their genetically defective throttle hands.

Ok, here is text about the new "Tourance Next" that appears to be sourced from a press release.

Will the existing Tourance still be available or is this POS "Next" street tire supposed to be a replacement?

I don't see why they would keep the old production. If you bring something new on the market to improve the previous model you rarely keep the old one.

I am amazed that folks choose a tire for its looks....I always though that tires were chosen for value and performance...and, to hold air...what do I know....

If we choose motorcycles for looks, what are we doing on BMW GSs? GSs look like two wheeled tractors.

Well, in the case of the last new thing with Tourance... the EXP... the market feedback was so negative that they kept the older tire on the market and that's the one I still ride.

This new tire *looks* interesting, maybe the pattern will reduce the wear on the front edge of the tread blocks, which is particularly apparent on the old fronts.

Hopefully there is good tread depth, that is where the EXP went wrong in search of better pavement performance.

Tourance is a very popular model of tire... no doubt Metzeler will watch the riders' reactions very closely.

My bike is purty.... But I digress. What I meant by the mefos being "good looking" meant "dirt capable" , "deep tread", and a profile that I like. Not that I was interested in screwing it. But who knows? Might be a slow night. ;)
