What I have read is that Canada was going to get them first in June, a member on another former who is in Canada had a delivery date in June was just told it will be another 3 weeks. Honda's public relations suck. They wont come out and say when they will arrive here. They cant even get a picture of the CB500x with ABS brakes on their website, even though the bike has been already sold overseas. On their website they are offering 2.99% financing on 2012 and 2013 CB500x's WTF

I hope they are right... I put my deposit down on a new CB500x (ABS) last month. I was told "mid July" delivery date by my local dealer out here in MA.

I'm guessing that American Honda is delaying the release of the CB500X in an effort to sell the NC700X's already in dealer showrooms.

They seem to have arrived in shops across Australia last week or the week before.

Looked at one here in Hobart / Tasmania / Oz on Friday.

Liked what I saw :-)

Just got off the phone with Honda USA; the X was released to the US on June 17th. I'm hearing reports from the CBR500R forum that it's already on dealer's floors in certain parts of the country.

Happy day!

I put my deposit down in early April on a ABS model, and was told it would be around mid July, I just contacted my dealer on friday saying I have read that they are already starting to show up at dealerships around the country, and I was wondering if it could come in earlier than expected, my reply back was "
We have not received our allocated order yet, but the fact that they are showing up at dealers should mean we will be getting yours in very soon. We have a meeting every morning to let us know what new inventory came in the night prior. I will notify you as soon as it arrives.

Maybe my wait is almost over.

Is that the ABS version? If so, you just gave me hope; I have one on order with my local dealer. I was told that they would be receiving 4 x non-ABS versions in early July and 1 x ABS version, but not until late July/early August

Perhaps the ABS will be along sooner than that!

XA, the A probably means ABS.

I'm actually surprised, that Honda still brings out a new model, that has an option of no ABS. They were the ones, who said several years ago, that 100% of their road/street models would have it in not too distant future.

For a bike that is nothing more than a road bike dressed up in ADV clothing (i.e. not designed to venture off road), I have no idea as to why ABS is not standard on every one of these machines here in the US. I can see why one might want to opt for a non-ABS model if we were talking about a true dual sport, but not here. It's not like the extra $500 would deter 99% of the people who'll be buying these bikes from doing so, and, given the fact that many newer riders will gravitate towards it's purchase, that extra $500 would go A LONG way in improving rider safety.
