No fun in that! FWIW, I started my own personal NYD ride back in '97 when I was working in Tampa. Did 250 miles up and down the coast. I've managed to do one every year since, save 2 years.
(Big whoop Right? FL, NV, AZ?)

This will be my second coldest ride.
Please, say hello. I'll be in a red (err, pink) Rallye II suit riding a customized yellow Monster.

Got some rest. Looks like I'll be able to hit my storage about 6:00. As long as the beast starts, I'll be there.

Shit. Can't get it started. It's been hard to start cold ever since I put the FCRs on but despite sitting on a battery tender since I've been gone and it not really being that cold, it doesn't want to fire.

Back on the BT for one last chance.

Man, I wish I had some. I know all it needs is an "Italian Tune-Up,"
I'll seaform when I get it going. Carbs only have 5K on them so unless the last gas I got was REALLY shitty, they should be fine.

What do you think the odds are on finding some starter fluid in midtown on New Years Day are.

I'll give it one more shot after it sits on the charger a minute. If its a no go I guess I'll have to content myself with going by the apple store and picking up my new iPad and reading the IoM(h) ride report.

The 21st!!!!

Although Skull didn't seem to make it this year, we have successfully completed the 21st Annual Isle of Manhattan run without incident! Yeah!

1st dirt bike to circumnavagate "The City" this year was a KTM 950 military grade urban assault vehicle:

And Black Dave was the first one to hit 140 degrees on his engine temperature! It was the temperature you were talking about, right, Dave?

Great ride today

It was nice to meet some of you today and enjoy a great ride around Manhattan.

The weather was perfect and the traffic was light. What a great way to start 2013!

I tracked the ride on my Garmin Montana 650t and uploaded it to Garmin Connect. I believe the below link should work to open it. If not I'll try to post it again. Highlights are below too.

Everything was leisurely right up until the Road King started passing people. That's not allowed.
