Woodys twin in Los Angeles for bent front rim repair

Hey my buddy's 950 rim is bent. He is looking for a good wheel shop in Los Angeles area. He lives in the north OC area.. We stopped by Woody's in Denver this summer and they said it was not bad, but should be fixed. He wants to get it fixed now.. Thanks

Woody's ships. Tell him spend the money for a new front and no down time on the bike.

Buchanan Spoke and Wheel just a few hour north of LA, but I don't know if they would count as "Woody's twin". I think they are a good wheel shop for repairs and such, but don't seem to be into the fabrication of unique stuff like Woody's.

Buchanan's

isn't a few hours away form L.A. - it's about a half hour. In Azusa I think. They can fix anything and would probably have a "sun" rim in stock which they could lace while you wait probably.... give 'em a call.

Woody's is awesome too - both companies have worked together in the past and refer each other business.

I thought they used to be in Fresno, so when I saw Azusa I thought it was a suburb of Fresno. oops

DUBYA USA was also the first US distributor for Talon Sprockets (UK), if I'm not mistaken. The lady (owner) I dealt with was efficient, knowledgable, and friendly. She was able to figure out which bike models had the same sprockets as my Dorsoduro (it wasn't listed specifically in the Talon catalogue), and order a custom tooth count for me.

If that's a stock ADV rim it's no brainer to put on DID Dirt Stat rim for just a little more money instead of trying to beat out and straighten the old one. You end up with a much superior solution.

I think they can be had for around $150 now that you don't have to buy them through KTM any more (Woody or Buchanans should know). Stock spokes and nipples will fit perfectly.

Buchanan fixed my bent KLR rim. I would use them again without a thought. I was going to ride up there and deliver but shipping was cheaper even from San Diego.

Just send them an email to confirm they can do it.
