Zega Pro on r1200gs
I will be purchasing Zega Pro panniers (sides and top case) for my 12gs. The large size paniers look HUGE on the bike. I'm wondering if anyone out there has a current photo of their 12gs with the small and medium size. Thanks in advance for your input.

Zega Pro
2012 R1200GS - Triple Black.
These are the "special edition" in anodized black 38 liter (not the big ones - 45 liters) with 31 liters on the exhaust side. They make a black rack for the side case, but NOT a black rack for the top case.... so I went with silver (stainless) for the mounting system. Black is difficult to keep clean, but they look GREAT. OK. The big cases ARE hugh, I hope this photo helps - it is the smaller set 38/31 liters and the smaller top box. The passenger seat is not in place and that's the front part to a Sargent Seat.

I stewed over large vs. medium pannier purchase as well and finally decided on the medium setup. I can't recall exactly but I think the difference (at least in the case of the "special" setup with the exhaust cutout) was like 3" in width and I thought the larger setup was close to - if not slightly wider - than the handlebars... didn't like that. Plus I figure if I'm filling up 2 large panniers I'm probably carrying too much stuff

Hardpackrider - thank you for the kind words.
This is my daily ride - not intended to be a custom "trophy" bike. Doesn't mean it can't look the way I want it! |
