James can't go because of NSW bureacracy but I am hoping to be there if the herniated disc in my back pulls up good this week.
Might catch up for the ride down if I make it, where are you meeting, I am at Bald Hills.
Andy
Hi Andy

I'm going to have a look at the route tonight and see if I can come up with a central location for all of us to meet. Thanks for putting my mind at ease about the track, if it's not going to be as hard as the tracks I did with you I should be fine.

On a side note, I did a ride on the weekend and had a small bingle on some loose stony ground, it was at low speed so no injuries to me but I did break the front right cowling and bent my crash bars. I've ordered a new cowling but it wont be here on time for the ride so I'm going to try for a glue and gaffer tape fix for the plastics.

I've got my email today too, hope the northsiders can all meet up and travel together. Just have to work out the best way to carry 3 extra litres of fuel.

For plastic panels try araldite from the inside with a bit of fibreglass mat to support it, just brush the araldite on lay a strip of matting over the joint and stipple some araldite into the mat, supports it quite well. I wouldn't be replacing anything with new until you get past the dropping phase, trust me I know.

Talking Northside Riders

Hi Guys

Here is the proposed meeting point and route to get to Boonah by 7:00am.

Route to Adventure Ride Start ***UPDATED ROUTE!**** (Gympie Rd, Inner City Bypass, Milton Rd, Centenary hwy = more funner! )

The route is 108Km which is appox 1hr 45mins from the Bunnings to Boonah.

Start Point: Bunnings Carpark Carseldeine.

Start Time: Be there 4:45am for a 5:00am departure

This will give us an easy 2 hours to get there by 7:00am, enough time to stretch our legs and get out any pre-ride jitters (take a piss) before having to sign in.

I'm open to suggestions on the route as I have never ridden to this location.

Let me know what you think.

Hey Mark,
Plug in Gympie Rd, Inner City Bypass, Milton Rd, Centenary hwy, I think you'll find that shorter.

Nice suggestion, I've updated the route, it will cost more to do the toll ways but should be fun riding through them that early in the morning.

There's no tollways that way.

Oh ok I see what you mean. The tunnels do take you directly onto the ICB, I've driven that part before, and it's quite a thrill in the car, would be good on the bike. I'm not adverse to skipping the tunnel if your conscience wont let you depart with the fare that's ok, I normally would not either.

I'm meeting an extremely helpful and generous gentleman on Friday night to get my pegs and crash bar sorted, if he reads this post you know who you are

At the end of the Centenary Hwy you just take the left lane to Boonah and follow it to the BP on the left in town. How is the back going Andy?
