From Facebook:
Quinn Cody Hi everyone, thanks for all your concerns. I'm here in San Diego at UCSD. I had surgery last night to repair a spiral fracture to my left femur. I am fine, just in quite a bit of pain; not a scratch on my whole body except for the femur. What happen was less then 10 miles to the end of my section, north of the Hwy 22 junction at around race mile 950, the fog had come in pretty bad. At that point, and I mis-judged my speed on to a small side road around a mud hole, came in too hot, and low-sided. My foot caught the berm on the edge of the road and twisted my leg. I knew instantly that my leg was broken. I am super disappointed in myself for letting down my team, but I am glad everyone else on our team made it through safe. Everyone at KTM did a great job on their first official Baja 1000. With a lot more testing and some more Baja experience for the crews and riders, KTM will get their first Baja 1000 win. Thanks to KTM, Bonanza Pluming, FMF, Baja Designs and all of our pit volunteers. |

Best award speech ever by Matt (Frog). "Also like to say to the driver of the RPM orange trophy truck, you're an asshole for rear ending me"
I know how you feel brother, I still want to punch buggy driver Ray Files (team Desert Dog Racing) for side swiping me in in the silt and ultimately ending my solo attempt just past the Loreto dump in 2010.

Lloyd had another rider(s). We talked to him at the finish, and he talked about when he got on the bike. I don't recall who he said was riding before he got on the bike.

That 450 rallye motor has the stock SX gearbox according to various articles. Does that seem right?

The production 450RR motor has the same ratios and number of gears as the SXF - but each uses a different output shaft to suit the different frames. Whether the factory motor uses the sames ratios is unknown
