Back to the drawing board to re-access ...
Throw some crash bars on the bike and bring it out! I have an F8 and it crashes pretty well... ask me how I know.

Flat repair on the trail is not so different than a normal tire change, you just need to be prepared with the knowledge and tools. The hardest part with big bikes is usually breaking the bead on the rear, which can be done with the sidestand while the bike is on the center stand (you can google "F800 tire change" and watch a video of how to do the whole operation).

I may have some items to toss into the raffle, I'll be talking to a friend of mine who runs a small business.

Wink In

I'd like to be counted as IN (!!!!). I'm with lifeofreilly's posse, staying in his RV. I'll be riding down from WA, and will be there Thurs-Mon (all days, all meals). I mentioned this on that other thread, on that other website, I'm not a n00b, and I'd be into leading or co-leading a ride. I could easily take a group through the Chloride or Darwin loops, and probably something else, esp with a co-leader. Just let me know what is needed.

Well, I can't help with that. But to see if any of the promoting I did last year is actually paying off, we have a few schools scheduled previous to this event so you can head out to the Noob Rally a better and safer rider. Get it in two days, not 10 minutes!

Our winter/spring schedule should be on my web site very soon,
JIMMY

Ill second that and attend if it can be scheduled on Jimmy's end.

Cool2

I realized I didn't follow the directions from post #2, so here's the deets:

Aaron /(ixab)/F800GS/All Nights/All Meals/can volunteer/can lead rides

I'd like to lead a group around Chloride or Darwin, on Saturday or Sunday? I'm willing to take input on whatever seems best. Both are good n00b rides. Darwin is a good one for Sunday because it's shorter, people can be done by lunch to pack up and go home. I can do either one of those on the F800 easy, would be willing to do pretty much other route, other days, just let me know.

I can also donate Adobe software, I'll put up a copy of Lightroom or maybe Premier? One if for managing digital photos, the other is video editing, not sure what people would be more into?

Cant' wait!

I am still trying to work out the time off for this trip, it is still a ways out for me to determine the days. But if I can can swing it, I will let you know as soon as possible. Also, being a nOOb, I was wondering if there are any riders near me that are riding either during the week or on weekends. I am in Calabasas CA, and not sure where to ride out here. Any help would be greatly appreciated, and some riding buddies would be great so if I can make the rally, I might not feel so inadequate
Thanks again, and these pic's and videos, everyone is sharing are awesome!

I dunno... We got a sand nOOb all the way up Eureka Dunes to the steps at the NE end of Steele Pass. By the time he was back on the fire road he was riding like a PRO!

You'll be fine.
