John,

I'll be happy to buy you one, or two at PSR as thanks for leading the CG ride, and also for recommending MadJack Racing. I didn't have time to get my bike to Lior, so I went to MJR for some needed work. Jack has gone over and above what any shop owner needed to do to make sure my bike is ready for the Noobs Rally. I was going to load the truck today, but the bike is still in his shop, hopefully it will be ready tomorrow. The delay was my fault, ordered the wrong part, but Jack is personally picking up the right part tomorrow morning all the way across town.

Ching... $1074 so far...
Riding Death Valley with the FF's...priceless.

I posted earlier about being willing to pick up DV Park Passes for anyone coming in on thursday or friday, since Nancy and I will be riding to the area Monday night and it's no problem stopping at the kiosk on our way to PVR on thursday. I'm already picking up a few for people.

This is targeted at folks who will be coming in from the west then going on a group ride the very next day and wont be able to get one easily. The rest of you FF's can pick one up yourself!

The passes are $10 and good for ONE motorcycle for 7 days. We will be in camp Thursday afternoon, spot #18, though we'll be going on the Lookout Sunset ride after we drop our bags and unpack.

If you'd like me to pick you up a pass you can paypal me the $10, please put your name, adv handle, bike, and campspot in the paypal message when sending. You'll need to come get your passes from me, I just want to know who's got one coming for my list.

Paypal email:

message board

i will have a clothesline with clothespin or clips hanging by the party central site #46.

check for messages there or leave one.

those going on a ride, they may want to post their destinations there and the riders in the group. once you get back, just pull it off.

left over namebadges will also be hanged there until you pick it up.

something like this. please secure your message very good in case the wind picks up.

those who sent me an email for the sat phone #, i will reply tomorrow.

for those who missed my post, send me an email at advsprinter at gmail.com with your name - adv handle - phone #. you can share the sat phone # with someone who is staying home that may need to call you in an emergency at home or in the office.

Here's a list of all the places you can buy passes. Got mine at Joshua Tree.

This is for Annual and Access Passes for seniors and disabled. Not sure if they also sell the temp ones at all the places listed but there is contact phone numbers to call them.

Fuck.

Anybody got an extra KLR skid plate? My skid project is at a stop, too late to keep fabbing and won't have time tomorrow since I have to book it to Fullerton to pick up the borrowed pickup. Guess I'm bolting the OEM air deflector back up and hoping for the best.

But I did get my bark busters on since it was too late to cut and grind; took a lot of bending to get them to fit.

Give some, take some.

Next up tonight oil change and a general look over. Tomorrow at some point I need to stop by Cycle Gear to (hopefully) get some new brake pads as mine are getting a bit worn; yes I plan on putting the new pads on at PSR.

Want a plastic one? Or is that the OEM air deflector?
