We are arriving on Wednesday and made a campsite reservation but don't know what site yet. I'll call Panamint Springs tomorrow to get a specific site which I'll post here. It would be great if we could keep that site through Sunday :-).

'High winds' piqued my wife's interest - are there by any chance tent cabins left for the event? Thanks.

Oliver

Right now there are only 2 tent cabins up... Joel said they would be reserved for the ladies He also said the resort may be putting more up, but we will have to see...

I've been going to DV for over 7 years 3 times a year and can only remember wind being a problem 2 times. It's possible but not much to worry about.

hi kurt and martha, thanks for the donation and for coming to this event. your this year's selkirk ride is featured in the nov. advmoto magazine. saw that too in the ride report. we missed out on that one, but we'll keep an eye next year. will bring the socal contingent.

right now, you're on the waiting list on the rv full hook up. if someone bails out or no-pay, it's yours.

i am grateful to martha for the repair of my 950 skid plate. exceptional service, likewise it was free, including shipping.

there's a big 950se parade lead by nowwhat, you may want to join them. bring your klim gear too....

Since it appears that the list is full, allow me to volunteer to be first on the standby list in the event of cancellations. Assuming that there will be some, the following applies:

Bob/CalGSer BMW G650 XChallenge/TFSS/3 nights meals, out on Sunday

Hey to BigToad, sorry to hear about your femur....that was a close one!

Best to all!

i already see 2 bailouts in the list. ersin will take care of you slackers.

luke, send us pics from vietnam. have an awesome adventure, and will see you when you get back to town.

jon, looking forward riding with you again.

Looking forward to it.

I have a suggestion for future events that I think might save you a lot time having to sort through pages of replies as well as make sure participants fill out all the needed info.

You can make a form in Google that will create a online spreadsheet for you. People enter their name, bike, etc, and hit submit. Then you can see a neat spreadsheet numbered out with all the info. Since it's almost full it doesn't make sense now, but next year I think it'd help. Here's a how to: http://support.google.com/drive/bin/...n&answer=87809

let me know if you want/need help. - Dan

thanks dan, wish i knew about that one. we could still probably use it when we do the official registration.

Looks like I missed the boat here. If you could throw me down as an alternate I'm in for the whole deal. I'd most likely ride up on my DR650, but maybe truck it.
Thanks

If I can switch to an RV spot, dry or otherwise, I'd appreciate it. If not, no big deal.

Morning Joel, or whoever is now the list keeper. Per my request a few pages back, please sign me up for a tent cabin each night. I note that Sue has also requested a tent cabin two nights. If Sue is game, I'd be up for splitting a cabin with her those nights to keep the second tent cabin open for others. Thanks!

Steve Palmer + 2 friends, 1drz,2 dr650s 5nights camping, all meals I was told to never volunteer but I'll make an exception this time. Donate? no kidney but might part with a couple bucks.
In list # 138-140

if you want me to correct the IN list, please quote your # , easier for me to find you in the list.

And the machines, a bit of everything...including some seriously farkled rides like macadamias xchallenge....

Just a reminder to carry a spot and cell!! I badly broke my femur riding solo up a mountain last summer and it was my spot or iPhone that likely saved my life. As a public service message to carry a spot and cell :) i posted the video I recorded while lying in the ditch, it of course is now a youtube sensation so give a thumbs up if you think a spot and cell is a good idea! http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=qgJqZ1T...%3DqgJqZ1TaZ5w

Count me in for DVNR 2014! Enjoy the rides!

Bigtoad

Hey BigToad ... broken femur is a pretty serious injury, hope all is healing well. Is this something that is keeping you from coming down this year? There are a couple of other DV area rides as well. One at the end of Feb that I did last year and will do again this year. PM me for details.

SPOT is absoulutely essential if you are going to ride by yourself!
