Need to find a new home for our dog
So, my wife and I adopted a dog a short time ago as a companion for our dog that we've had since he was a puppy. They are brother and sister, separated at birth, now six years old.
Here's more info my wife wrote up: I am heartbroken to say that we cannot keep her and need to find her a new loving home. We love her and she is a great dog but Minnie and our dog Maxx do not get along. Minnie is a wonderful dog. She is friendly and playful but also calm and relaxed. She loves to go for walks, play fetch or just snuggle on the couch. She is great with people and does not mind being poked and prodded by Veterinarians. She has had some training and is treat motivated. She walks well on a leash and obeys basic commands, but a refresher course would probably be helpful. She is great being left alone when you go to work and is not destructive. She does not like being confined in a crate or room alone if she knows you are there. I think her previous owners isolated her some and so she has some separation anxiety if she knows you are in the house. If you leave the house she is calm and content to wait for your return. She knows how to use a dog door but can also be left inside without having accidents for a reasonable amount of time. She is great with people but not young children. She is a cattle dog and they are prone to herd small moving creatures. Older children 10+ would probably be fine. She would probably be best as an only dog or may be ok with another dog if they are very submissive. If you are interested or know anyone who is interested in giving her a new home please let me know. The adoption will go through Dreampower and we will pay the adoption fee. ![]() ![]() ![]()

Awww, that's too bad man. She looks like a cutie and a great pet.
Good luck in the search for a new home for her. Hopefully someone on here can step up and take her.

I have been on the hunt for a new four legged family member. The one big question for me is how she does with cats. No matter what the answer is, let me know and I will pass on the info to people I work with also. She's so cute I just want to snuggle her!

The paperwork we received from the adoption organization (along with a full medical file from the previous owners) says she lived with a cat at some point, but we don't have a cat so we don't really know.

Being a life-long dog-lover.......
.......... yer REALLY a-tugg'n my heartstrings here. Although I can't adopt Minnie, you have my prayers and best wishes on finding her a loving, happy home. Please keep us posted here - I'm sure some of your fellow inmates will join me in donating funds for kibbles and toys once she's found her new family.
I already have Ralph the Waggle-Mutt to keep me company, and Ralph's 'girlfriend' Jetta lives next door - with an open gate between the back-yards for playful visits and romantic interludes.

Bumping to the top.....nobody has taken her yet. Plan to contact the dog rescue to find a foster home for her on Wednesday, so if anyone here is interested, this is the last chance.
